Change These 4 Bad Marketing Practices Now - Before They Break Your Company!

Are these 4 bad marketing practices sabotaging success of your company?

See if you have fallen victim to some of them - particularly if you're thinking about ramping up your marketing attempts right now. Know 'me and overcome before they make your cash and time go to waste.

Thinking about ramping up your marketing?

It's a great time for it, particularly if cash flow's beginning to get just a little limited. But if you haven't been marketing for some time - you could see yourself lapsing into some bad marketing practices.

Of course, if you have not been getting the results from the marketing you did lately, maybe you are already pursuing some unconscious habits that undermine your potential results.

Knowing that, here are four of the most typical bad marketing practices accountable for getting businesses nowhere quickly, while depleting their resources and destroying their will to look at better, smarter, far better marketing habits.

Take a step back, take a look at your marketing, and ask yourself:

"Have I fallen victim to these bad marketing practices?"

Bad Marketing Behavior #1: Lenny & Squiggy Marketing

Remember the favorite Television show "Laverne and Shirley" back the '70s? Lenny & Squiggy were the young ladies' greasy, irritating, unwelcome neighbors,

plus they always barged into the young girls' living room within an absolutely clueless, obnoxious fashion.

Every time a marketing is delivered by you piece out without...

  1. An idea in place
  2. An invitation
  3. The best notion of who you're marketing to
  4. The perseverance to let an organic and natural response happen on a realistic timeline
  5. The knowing that even the best, most clever campaigns don't attract or deserve 100% of your Ideal Viewers' attention

Forget about "squirting 'n praying" ok?

Within the world of hyperlocal searching and mega-niche sites, there's really no need. Well, it is not very smart or cost-effective, either.

Bad Marketing Behavior #3: Me-Me-Me Marketing

You're a sufferer of the "Me-Me-Me" Marketing behavior whenever you're concentrating on what you would like or need, rather than what your visitors, clients, and/or potential customers want or need.

That is probably the most typical problem people make when they're attempting to advertise their products. Rather than performing your own praises, tune into the audience's favorite radio station, W-I-I-F-M. (That's "What's In It For Me?")

Focus on what they would like to know, hear, do, and become...

  1. What's keeping them up during the night?
  2. How will you solve their problems, relieve their pain, or increase their pleasure?
  3. What words, pictures, tools, techniques, and mass media would you use to inform, educate, captivate, or motivate them?
Answer those relevant questions, and provide it up appropriately.

Bad Marketing Behavior #4: Seat-of-the-Pants Marketing

The "Seat-of-the-Pants" Marketing behavior begins when you miss the marketing element of your business for reasons unknown, the other day wake and realize you will need more leads up, clients, income, or all the above.

Nevertheless, you don't possess a marketing budget, plan, or an idea concerning where or how to begin.

So you fly by the seat of your pants. You make hasty decisions. You say "OK!" to any marketing opportunity occurs first. You hook campaigns around the holiday season, sales, or whims, then you sprint, flail, flounder, and finally land on your marketing face.

Being creative, versatile, and ready for anything is one thing. However, when it involves building your business with perspective and clearness, conquer this behavior quickly.

The good news is, bad habits - especially bad business and marketing practices - can be transformed for the better, to allow them to drive more leads, land more clients, and make some serious money.

All the best, and happy marketing!
